    Cory Doctorow

I was lucky enough to get to hear Cory Doctorow speak this morning at the annual iWeek conference in Johannesburg. I’m a big fan of Doctorow, in particular his role in making people aware of the evils of DRM, the benefits of open source software and the need to liberalise copyright laws.

For those that don’t know Cory Doctorow, he’s an author, a blogger, co-editor of BoingBoing, a prolific journalist, and open source software fan.

Below is a six minute clip from this morning’s talk in which Doctorow talks about privacy and security, including his thoughts on biometric security.
